This is the hub for the video materials produced during the course of OCSEAN. These have been created mostly for training and communication but also for more reflective documentation.
SPEAKING THE SACRED
The collaboration between Udayana University and University of Tartu researchers and creative teams has led to the documentary about Saa ritual and in the Bulian village. The film documents Saa, the meanings of it locally, and personal insights of the the team of the Bulian project who have been in close engagement with the local community.

Linguistic Field Methods
In preparation for the training in the linguistic field methods, Dr Hanna Fricke, then at Leiden University prepared a series of video tutorials to introduce all the basics of linguistic field methods, from informed consent and community engagement to data storage and management. In addition there is a tutorial for ELAN FlEx Workflow.

Austronesian moment, linguistic training & importance of language documentation
An introduction to the project, the background of the Austronesian moment, overview of the linguistic training during Uppsala Summer School 2022 and the importance of language documentation is presented in the video directed by Pierangelo Pirak, filmed by Morgan Maugeri and Davide Pompejano from Pomona Pictures.
OCSEAN Bali Conferene Day 1 (morning session)
July 21-23, 2025 Faculty of Humanities, Udayana University, Bali, Indonesia hosted the OCSEAN Bali Conference 2025.
A forum where OCSEAN members and guests presented their results and discussed the topics within Linguistics, Anthropology, Archaeology, Genetics, and Heritage Studies.
The Conference was broadcasted live and also recorded by the Media team in the Faculty of Humanities of Udayana University.

OCSEAN Bali Conferene Day 1 (afternoon session 1)
The first day of conference main themes were Linguistics, Physical Antrhopology & Data Science.
The afternoon session presenters: George Saad, Aldolfina Moybeka, Benediktus Delpada, Mariam Klamer, Chistopher Kinipi, Daniel Laweson.
Due to technical reasons, the first video is a short start for George Saad's presentation that is continued in the second recording.
